FAQ

So what all do you provide?

Thanks for asking! I bring my own speakers so all your audio for the ceremony is covered. I have all the audio equipment for myself and your officiant so you can rest assured knowing that your ceremony is going to sound professional.

do you have any song recommendations for the ceremony?

Absolutely! I get this so much that I made a playlist of my favorite songs to play during ceremonies. Click here to cue the tears.

Why should we hire you?

Two words, insurance & emotion. When you hire a live musician, you get so much insurance that you will walk down to the exact part of the song you want. Playing songs live allows me to cut or add parts depending on the bridal party’s tempo. You simply don’t have to worry about the timing of anything at all because I can make any adjustment in real time. Not only can you relax about the timing, you can be certain that the emotional build up will happen without any awkward pause or break before you walk down. Here’s my “selling point,” your processional will be one long, continuous, smooth build up to the most beautiful moment of your life. Oh yeah, and live cocktail hour is just such a vibe!

have you ever missed a wedding?

Nope! In over 100 weddings, I’ve never had an emergency come up. And let me be clear about the word emergency, I mean a real emergency. I’m thinking in the realm of spouse, child, parent in the hospital and you are needed there. So in the event of something of that nature, here’s what I would do: I would contact someone in my network of DJs and audio engineers to have them play and crossfade prerecorded music for your ceremony and cocktail hour with my equipment. Additionally I would give you a full refund. Of course, I don’t foresee this ever happening but I’m a big what-if guy so this is my worst-case scenario plan.

What does the day actually look like for you?

I typically arrive an hour and a half before the ceremony to set up and sound check. After the wedding I tear down the equipment (if necessary), take it where the reception is at and start playing for cocktail hour.
